02/13/2010 * NWAPA Percussion Clinic Goals

As the Percussion Premiere weekend approaches, it is important to utilize the clinic format to your best advantage.

 The clinic format is an informal gathering of clinicians, instructors, and performers.  Each unit has 18 minutes on the floor to use in any way they wish.  It is highly encourage to participate in as much live dialog as possible.  For that very reason, there will be no digital commentary for the clinic.  You should definitely have an idea of how you want to manage your time to maximize the return on your plan.

The clinicians will also be keeping a watchful eye on those groups that may be misclassified.  This would be further confirmed in the evening contest when actual numbers are assigned and the judging to the criteria reference is more detailed.  However, this area is only a portion of what value can be extracted during the clinic.  

The clinic was strongly received by the CG units  with some very good input for further development in the future.  Please do not hesitate to share your thoughts during the day and right after the weekend.
